Downward Facing Dog

It was a rainy, chilly (65 degree F), beginning of winter day in Sydney (think December 12 Northern Hemisphere style).  We had my adorable nephew, my sister in law & their beautiful Vizsla over for a morning tea visit.  I had a cup of breakfast tea with honey & almond milk -  in my attempt to embrace my new Aussie life style & to "warm up".

My nephew opted for avocado sushi.

Marlowe the Vizsla opted to chase these two & eat a bone.

Vizsla's are gorgeous dogs.  Slim & I really want a Vizsla so it's great getting a test run and reaffirming that the breed is a good match.  The breed originated in Hungary, they are sporting dogs and the smallest of the all-round pointer-retriever breeds. Meaning they have insane noses & love to - seriously love to run.   Today Marlowe & I still managed a nice slow tempo 30 minute run despite the weather

Before heading out though we did our stretching warm up.

Marlowe's yoga move of choice . . .  downward facing dog.

Namaste.

A day trip to the City

As a current lady of leisure I'm lucky to get to spend some of my days exploring Sydney with the people I love.

If you visit you Sydney you could definitely use a whole day or two shopping and exploring all the neat clothing, home wear & food shops on:
  • George Street
  • Pitt Street
  • Castlereagh &
  • Elizabeth Street

Even the trip over on the ferry from the northern shore is beautiful!  You could park at the Mosman ferry stop or Manly and hop over for a leisurely ride to Circular Quay & then walk or take a train into the city very easily.

More about the great shops later, in the mean time Here are a few fun shots of this beautiful city from our recent shopping day to peak your interest!

Snap, Crackle, Pop

Even Rice Krispies sound funny down unda'!

I wondered what Slim was talking about the other day when he said he was craving "Rice Bubbles" when they arrived I started craving Rice Krispie Treats!

At least Snap, Crackle & Pop speak the same lingo.
